Bitter citrus meets resin and wood in to summer Bitters, composed by Jérôme Epinette. Pomelo, bitter orange and black pepper lead into geranium, incense, benzoin and fir, with cedarwood and patchouli giving the formula its woody foundation.
The interesting question here is what happens after the citrus: does the resinous, woody direction appeal as much as the opening? A useful fragrance to sample if you enjoy citrus with a darker supporting cast.
