Inspired by perfumer Suthathip Thedvichienchai (Bow)’s first visit to the city, the fragrance recalls long avenues turned gold by ginkgo trees, chrysanthemums blooming between ancient altars and gardens, the sunlit glazed tiles of the Forbidden City, and layers of warm orange-gold light—an impression she calls “Beijing Gold.”
Yuzu, tea leaves and cardamom open with bright aromatic clarity. Violet leaf, chrysanthemum and clary sage shape a green, gently floral heart, with chrysanthemum serving as the composition’s distinctive Chinese note. Vetiver, cedarwood and patchouli bring a dry, grounded woody finish.
