CHEN Extrait gave us two noticeably different wears. One suggested transparent mineral surfaces, stone and black ink. Another began with burning incense, resin and old wood, then became quieter, warmer and subtly sweet.
Agarwood, frankincense, labdanum, sandalwood and vanilla form part of DOCUMENTS’ composition. Those contrasting impressions are a good reason to sample CHEN more than once: give the opening time to settle and notice which side of its incense character you want to return to.
